Super Bowl weekend is almost upon us! While I may not be a big football fan, I’m a huge fan of parties, snacks, and spending time with friends!
So to celebrate one of the greatest food holidays in American culture, I’ve compiled a list of my top ten vegan Super Bowl recipes. Think pizza, quesadillas, crumbly tempeh bacon topped smashed potatoes, and cheesecake brownies to finish it all off.
There’s something for everyone here! We’ve got healthy recipes on the list, indulgent snacks, gluten-free treats and more.
1. Vegan Loaded Smashed Potatoes
No vegan Super Bowl party will be complete without loaded smashed potatoes! The potatoes are oven roasted ’til crispy then topped with melty cashew mozzarella, chipotle cream, tempeh bacon bit, and chives. They. Are. Incredible! Each bite is a flavor explosion in your mouth. I’m getting hungry just thinking about them!
2. 20 Minute Vegan Quesadillas
These quesadillas are by far our most popular recipe to date. They take just 20 minutes (even less if you keep soaked cashews in your freezer!) and are soooooooo easy to make. The best part? You can double the recipe and use the leftover cheese and chipotle cream to make the smashed potatoes!
3. Caroline BBQ Jackfruit Sliders
These BBQ Jackfruit sliders will be a huge hit at any vegan Super Bowl party! Bite sized sliders packed with juicy, meaty jackfruit topped with apple slaw and avocado. So. Damn. Delicious.
4. Vegan Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza
This vegan deep dish pizza is a crowd pleasure for sure! Using the same cashew mozzarella as the quesadillas and smashed potatoes, this pizza is a snap to prepare and definitely deserves a spot on your vegan Super Bowl party table!
5. Vegan Pesto Pasta with Mushrooms and Peas
This vegan pesto pasta is one of my all-time favorite recipes EVER. It’s hearty, filling, and so easy to prepare. This is my go to dish for any picnic or potluck. It tastes amazing at any temperature and always gets rave reviews! The peas add the perfect amount of sweetness to a deliciously savory dish and the pesto makes the tofu crumbles taste so cheesy!
6. Vegan Chili Cheeze Nachos
You can’t have a vegan Super Bowl party without nachos, amirite? This vegan queso couldn’t be easier to make. With pre-soaked cashews it takes just five minutes. Heat a can of store bought veggie chili and have your nachos ready to go in no time. Your guests will think you’re a superhero in the kitchen!
7. Raw Vegan Hempseed Tzatziki
This raw vegan tzatziki is the perfect spread for any vegan Super Bowl party. It’s light, healthy, flavorful, and completely nut-free and oil-free. Packed with fresh herbs, it tastes amazing with pita bread or cucumbers and only takes about ten minutes to make!
8. Hearts of Palm Ceviche
On a table full of indulgent vegan snacks, this hearts of palm ceviche is the perfect healthy addition to any party spread. It’s refreshing, simple to make, and full of flavor. Best part? It only takes about 15 minutes to make!
9. Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies (Vegan + GF)
Ok, time to get serious here. These red velvet cheesecake brownies are hands down one of the most delicious desserts I have ever tried. EVER. Not only do they taste incredible, they’re actually pretty healthy to boot. Packed with protein, fiber, and whole foods, these are brownies you can feel good about eating!
10. Vegan Rocky Road Cookies
These vegan rocky road cookies are definitely more indulgent than the cheesecake brownies, but they taste so good and everyone needs a treat once in a while! These cookies are chewy, chocolatey, and completely irresistible. Bonus points if you spread some melty vegan ice cream between two cookies to make a sandwich!
